A cancer that works its way into God's Church is the lack of forgiveness, of holding grudges and even of being hateful towards other Christians. Fellowship is divided at an errant word, church splits occur when a grudge holder builds a coalition around their unlovingness and the Body of Christ is further weakened in her mission. As the Apostle John points out this lack of love for one another is fundamentally incompatible with the love of Christ for His people.
