The unique Waterfront, a quarter-mile oceanfront promenade lined with restaurants, bars and spectacular views allows guests to indulge in nearly 30 different dining experiences, including dedicated seafood, steak tartare & fine steaks venues by the likes of celebrity chef Geoffrey Zakarian, one of our top picks in this review. The ship features 9 complimentary dining options from three-course dining to endless buffets with action stations. The Breakaway class has something for everyone, from the Broadway shows to Burn the Floor, Legally Blonde, The Second City comedy, jazz & blues club, dueling piano bar and Cirque Dreams or the Wine Musical with other shows coming soon. Outdoor activities include a large ropes course, rock climbing wall, aqua park with multiple high speed water slides, pools, and hot tubs throughout! We like & recommend "VIBE", a private beach club that you can only purchase the first day on the cruise (and usually sells out the first hour while boarding). It is ideal for sailings in warm weather, but not important for sailings out of NYC during the winter season. Accommodations range from the HAVEN ( a suite level complex), to the hot new Studios for singles/solo travelers including a key card access area only with private bar/lounge for those staying in the Studios. In this review, we booked into a HAVEN Penthouse Suite. We do recommend this for families. The majority of the suites are 2 bedroom suites designed for families…not 2 couples.
