We all struggle with anxiety / stress / feeling overwhelmed at times in our life. I personally have struggled with anxiety my entire life / have had to learn how to deal with anxiety. Today's video are tips on how to deal with anxiety and how to prevent anxiety as much possible. Hopefully these tips will help you learn how to change your habits to prevent anxiety from happening [as much as possible] as well as help you learn how to deal with your anxiety in practical ways. These tips are helpful to getting over a bad day and dealing with stress! HOW TO DEAL WITH ANXIETY: 11 WAYS TO DEAL WITH ANXIETY: HOW TO AVOID ANXIETY: 1. SCHEDULE YOURSELF Schedule yourself and your day out as much as possible to avoid stressful situations like not knowing how you will fit everything you need to do in your day. The more I plan ahead, the more prepared I am= the less stressed you are. 2. LEAVE MARGIN Be realistic with yourself about how much time you need to get things done and to get them done without being stressed. Don't cram your day so full and fill your schedule so much that you are constantly running and cramming. I had to learn to say no to events and hang outs to make sure that I could get all of my work done. Learn how much time you need and what you need to cut out so you're not stressed and exhausted. 3. LEARN TO LET GO This tip was the hardest [but most important] for me. I'm a perfectionist and my anxiety over needing my work to be 'perfect' would make me procrastinate and cause further anxiety / stress. Learn that it is better to just start, and that your 80% percent is better than 0%. HOW TO DEAL WITH ANXIETY: 4. ESSENTIAL OILS: Diffusing essential oils is a great way to calm yourself down. I like to diffuse lavender at night because it's calming / relaxing. This is great to do at night before trying to go to sleep! 5. DRINKING TEA Herbal teas are another great resource to calm down your body- chamomile, peppermint etc all are great in case you want to sooth an upset stomach and help falling asleep. 6. BATHS I like to take some alone time and really shut off. I also add things to a bath that are relaxing. 100 % Pure Seaweed Detox Bath- feels like icy hot in your bathtub, soothes sore muscles and relieves tension Sleep: Aromatherapy foam bath- [from bath and body] lavender oil helps relax your body and mind [none of these are sponsored] 7. BE WITH SOMEONE YOU TRUST It's natural to want to isolate yourself when you're dealing with anxiety, but that's one of the worst things you can do. Open up to someone that loves you and allow them to support you and comfort you. It's healing to know that other people deal with the same struggles as you and they are there for you! 8. CUT BACK ON CAFFEINE A lot of the times when you feel off could be because things are actually off in your body. Cut back on caffeine and processed foods / sugars that could be aiding to those feelings you're experiencing! 9. STRETCH / BREATHING EXERCISES Your mind is racing when you're dealing with anxiety and you can help quiet your mind and slow down your heart rate by stretching and doing breathing exercises. You're quieting your mind when you are having it focus on just the movements. 10. PRAY Anxiety and worry isn't changing your actual situation, but prayer can. Let your anxiety initiate your prayers and open up about where you are at! 11. STEP AWAY FROM YOUR PHONE Texts stress me out. I will pick a certain time every few hours to go through and respond to all of them at once instead of feeling like I'm chained to my phone all day long. Leave your phone a few hours before sleeping if you struggle with anxiety before bed. Step away from social media if it's making you sad. please let me know if you liked this video by giving it a thumbs up! Really helps me know what you guys want to see!
