Licensed agents will still be the only people legally able to assist you when you're trying to choose the right health insurance plan for your specific needs. And, by law, working with a licensed agent cannot cost you extra. Prices for each available plan have agent commissions built into the cost, so you'll pay those costs, whether you use a licensed agent or not. Navigators will not be able to advise you on which plans to purchase. By law, navigators are only able to assist you in determining whether or not you're eligible for a subsidy, as well as helping you through the application process.
