So far, we know he met with a Russian lawyer who had promised him documents incriminating Hillary Clinton. In the email exchange setting up that meeting, we learned three things. First, that a person whom the intermediary called "a Russian government lawyer" reached out to the campaign wanting to help. Second, the intermediary specifically mentions the Russian government's desire to help Trump win the US election. And third, Paul Manafort, Jared Kushner, and Donald Trump Jr. all knew about this effort, and instead of reporting it to the FBI, they took the meeting.
