All in the Family revolved around the life of a working class bigot named Archie Bunker and his family. The show set new broadcast standards by tackling issues previously considered unsuitable for U.S. network television comedy, such as racism, homosexuality, women's liberation, rape, miscarriage, abortion, breast cancer, and the Vietnam War. Throughout the 70's the series became one of television's most influential comic programs, as it interlaced radical issues of the day with the live audience sitcom format. In this episode, Its Thanksgiving and Archie decides its time to make sure that his future grandson is not raised an Atheist. He ends up in a hilarious debate with his non-believer son-in-law over the existence of God.
