The abandoned army barracks littered amongst the Marin Headlands seemed like the perfect place to film Johnny Cash's seminal rebel song. We don't do many covers, but we included "Folsom Prison Blues" as a blueprint for the rest of our debut album. It's got California (album title), it's got prison ("Hellhounds of Alcatraz"), it's got trains ("Locomotive Lightning"), and it's got the unistake boom-chicka-boom of the Tennessee Three that lays the foundations for many of our songs. If you like the blueprint, you can check out our album over on Spotify ( smarturl.it/CABurningSpotify ).
