First, right click on a metadata column and make sure you've enable Scene and Camera Angle. 2. Go into the inspector and select extended view in the bottom left hand corner pop up menu. 3. Select each of your multicam angles and rename them in the inspector metadata field. Rename them in order of priority alphabetically as that is the method FCPX uses to sort multicam angles when it makes multicam clips. Label your audio Z_Audio so that it sets your audio clips as the last angle 4. Select all of the clips you're syncing together and name them in whatever way you'd like to choose in the scene metadata field. I tend to name them after the keyword collection they've originated from. 5. Select the gear icon in the bottom right hand corner of the inspector. Go under "apply custom name" and then select "edit". 6. Click the plus sign to add a new preset, and then in the name field, delete whatever is already in there, and then add the scene tag, underscore, angle tag, underscore, counter tag, and then set the counter to however many digits you'd like at the bottom of the dialog box. Two should probably be more than enough. 7. Select each of your the clips you'd like to place in your given angle, then go back under "apply custom name" and you'll see your new preset as an option. Select it, and your clips will now be renamed accordingly. Do this for all of your angles (including audio). 8. Select all of the clips you'll be syncing together and then right click and "make multicam clip". FCPX will make a multicam clip syncing as many clips as you want with as many angles, and will selectively divide up your number of clips based on how you've assigned your angle metadata. 9. Edit your multicam clip into your timeline and start cutting.
