Today we are completing to learn basic kriyas. We have learned them one by one and now we can put them all together - all 18. This kriya is intended to wake up the energy to remove the obstacles on our way. Morning yoga for beginners... Kriya is all about the movement. People who move are more joyful and happy than the ones who find excuses to feed their body with movements it needs so much! When you have completed this kriya you may take a rest or get ready for round Number 2. Kriya number 18, round 1 (the last kriya in this round) The ancient treatise on kriya yoga describes it as follows: Sit down between the feet on the ground. Straighten your back, neck and head. Lift and lower your body many times. This way, you will bring her, the destroyer of obstacles and sufferings, into the central channel. Tip: If your knees are sensitive and painful, find other position that suits you! You may use folded blanket. Explore the options that will let you enjoy this pose! HOW TO PRACTICE KRIYA YOGA It is recommended to practice kriya for 75 seconds if you practice it in a sequence of other kriyas. Kriya yoga is dynamic. We explore the pose in movement rather than remaining still as in Hatha yoga. You may combine these two methods. For example, practice the pose in dynamic for some time and then remain in some position still. Listen to your body. Be gentle to yourself! YOGA TIP: It does not matter that much what you do but HOW you do it! FREE ON-LINE YOGA UNIVERSITY In May of 2017 we are opening free course on kriya yoga on the site htpps://www.yogaopenyoga.com. Until then there are several more free yoga courses for you to study yoga from very basics. Full kriya yoga workout for entire body youtu.be/Tqp79eIJbpY
