Pig farming in Uganda is growing as those who rear these animals are able to realize quick profits, though many consider it a dirty job. Charles Kawuma’s currently has about 30 pigs on his farm in Mubende district. Kawuma started rearing pigs in the early 2000s, dealing in particular breeds which he says are easy to raise and are equally profitable. In “On the Farm” today, Solomon Kaweesa talks to Kawuma, who has schooled his children from the profits of his farm.
