A Promise of Revolution examines the life and legacy of Guyanese revolutionary Walter Rodney through the eyes of a myriad of intellectuals, artists and political activists whom he influenced. Having conducted numerous interviews for the documentary W.A.R. Stories: Walter Anthony Rodney, author and filmmaker Clairmont Chung felt it necessary to publish these and other interviews that were not included in the documentary. This book paints a uniquely vivid and truthful image of Walter Rodney made possible only through the first hand accounts of those who knew him personally.
