Revolutionary Literary Advocate & Entrepreneur I-Nation spares no blows as he takes a scathing look at the culture of political tribalism locally with DSE's Donisha Prendergast at the last staging of "Conversations...it all begins with a story" earlier this year. Sharing his story of his own journey to consciousness, I-Nation describes "Wretched of the Earth" by Frantz Fanon as a catalyst for change in his life and the power of literature to alter ones perception positively. A truly inspiring figure, I-Nation shares how he worked his way up from distributing books on a bicycle to a friends in the corporate area to becoming a well respected figure by area leaders and some of Jamaica's most popular musicians. Sourcing material not taught in schools or sold in bookstores locally, he has established himself as the 'go to' person for revolutionary literature. Much like Guyanese scholar Walter Rodney, I-Nation provides a much clearer understanding of world affairs by exploring current affairs and showing its development through modern history. A platform of this nature was well needed to explore these matters not discussed on local television. What began as an event emerged to be a great idea for a television series of this nature, examining the works of the ones spearheading the mission towards consciousness and raising the awareness of the masses. The video closes with a fitting performance of "Chant It" by budding songstress Sevana backed by singer and guitar player Infinite. Special Thanks to 50 DNA, D.S.E. Media, Niche Entertainment,D.S.E. Anbessa, Fareye Films and all who helped to make this staging of Conversations a success. @directorkush @Nisha_Rebel @dseshorts Website: www.dsejamaica.com Blog: dseshorts.wordpress.com Facebook: www.facebook.com/DSE-Short Twitter: twitter.com/dseshorts
