"The Confessions Of Nat Turner", recorded by Thomas R Gray on November 1st, 1831. Read by Frank Blissett. Please keep in mind that "The Confessions Of Nat Turner" were to some extent filtered through Thomas Gray. In particular, I would note that Gray related little of his later cross-examination with Turner. I find it hard to call Turner either a patriotic freedom fighter or a fanatical terrorist - the truth is probably that he was something of both. Also see my series "Record Of Fugitives", telling brief narratives of fugitive slaves. www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQ4oD4Yg-LGznysbh9vRMvC_0i6Bv1bO7
