Please join me as I chat with Andy Edwards and Elisar Cabrera, director and producer of the horror comedy, ‘Ibiza Undead’, which is released on DVD in the UK on March 20th though Soda Pictures. A group of young people head to Ibiza for the holiday of a lifetime - all the sun, sea and sex they can handle. If only there wasn't a zombie outbreak getting in the way. It stars Emily Atack (The Inbetweeners),Cara Theobold (Downton Abbey, Overwatch, Crazyhead) and Matt King (Peep Show, RocknRolla, Bronson). Described as “The Inbetweeners meets Shaun of the Dead”, the film premiered at the UK’s largest horror and fantasy festival, Frightfest, in August 2016 and has also screened at the prestigious Sitges festival. Andy has written, directed and produced segments of the horror anthologies Three’s A Shroud, Blaze of Gory and Grindsploitation. He his own video production company creating corporate and online content for clients such as Capital Radio and Spotify. He’s currently developing more exciting genre projects, including vampire rock’n’roll movie The Vampires Of Soho, modern-day folk-horror Hackney Witch, and deaf-werewolf movie Silence of the Moon. Elisar has produced feature films (Ibiza Undead, The Tombs: Rise of the Damned, Deadly Virtues, Who’s Changing), digital series (the multi award-winning 3some, ThoseVideoGuys, Vidfest Diaries) and short films (SuperMum, Beryl, The Conductor). An advocate for online filmmaking Elisar founded the Raindance Web Fest, the UK’s first festival for independent digital and web series. He produces VidfestUK, the YouTube and web series section of MCM London Comic Con and is a co-founder of Digital Creators UK.
