PART 8: THE FUTURE directed by Steve Slocomb A heartfelt story of a most unusual plant -- the bitterroot. Part 8, the final chapter, talks about the future of the bitterroot. The plant still lives in the wild, but it's range has been greatly diminished over time, mostly because of development of the valleys. It's more difficult to find the plant in the wild. But many people, including the Salish people and others, are working to ensure that the bitterroot will survive and thrive for all future generations. ABOUT THE FILMMAKER Steve Slocomb has been involved in the film business for 34 years, with extensive experience in motion picture (35mm, 65mm), video, and 3D and visual FX. He has provided expert cinematography to most of the major television networks, and has clients worldwide. Some of his clients include Oprah Winfrey, America's Most Wanted, Good Morning America, and many others. He also produces and directs his own independent films.
