PART 6: "MR. BITTERROOT" directed by Steve Slocomb The story of the extraordinary plant called bitterroot. Part 6 tells the story of "Mr. Bitterroot", Henry Grant. Born of homesteaders in 1908, Henry became enchanted with the cultural history and wondrous properties of the bitterroot plant. He dedicated much of his later life to cultivating and preserving the plant, which was rapidly disappearing as the Bitterroot valley became developed. This is Henry's story. ABOUT THE FILMMAKER Steve Slocomb has been involved in the film business for 34 years, with extensive experience in motion picture (35mm, 65mm), video, and 3D and visual FX. He has provided expert cinematography to most of the major television networks, and has clients worldwide. Some of his clients include Oprah Winfrey, America's Most Wanted, Good Morning America, and many others. He also produces and directs his own independent films.
