=============== Description =============== This is the sequel to my initial ‘A Tiny Modernity’ timelapse video released in October 2014. I did not foresee to release this production as my day job was getting more taxing as compared to the previous year. However, as we are celebrating Singapore’s 50th Birthday this year, a.k.a SG50, a.k.a Golden Jubilee, it just isn’t tactful to produce something for the 49th birthday, but not for the significant milestone of 50th. Instead of being just another landscape project, I explored into some places that is significant to many. The ‘dragon head’ playground is one that many will remember, including me. I remember playing it when I was young, and it was well over 10 years since I last went before this shoot. I also explored into the last Kampong in Singapore; Kampong Lorong Buangkok. Let’s not forget that Rochor Centre will soon be demolished too. I believe these places mean something to Singapore now that it has hit its 50th year of independence. This project, even though with prior experience, took me longer than expected to produce. I took a total of 7 months, again, to produce, shooting mainly on weekends only. I hope you enjoy this clip as much as I enjoyed producing it as a personal SG50 initiative. Also, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Singapore’s founding father, the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew, for shaping it into a city that never stops striving, excelling, and moving forward. Happy Birthday Singapore! *Congrats to the couple I met at the dragon head playground when I was shooting that scene. Everyone sure added dynamism into the timelapse scene. I wish you a blissful and eternal marriage!
