Protect, Respect and Remedy: Advancing human rights in business
An infomercial on the United Nations Guiding Principles (UNGP) on Business and Human Rights The video is an introduction to the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (also known as the Ruggie Framework, or the "Protect, Respect and Remedy" Framework). It features personalities from various sectors in the Philippines: Max de Mesa of Philippine Alliance of Human Rights Advocates, Ramon del Rosario Jr. of Makati Business Club, former Chair Loretta Ann Rosales of the Commission on Human Rights of the Philippines, and Teddy Brawner Baguilat of the House of Representatives. They talk about the State's duty to protect and the business sector's duty to respect human rights, as well as the remedies should these rights be violated in the course of doing business.
