PAX East 2013 Panel - Saving Education with Game Design presented by Steven Swink. Steven Swink is an educational game developer promoting useful game design techniques that positively enhance games for use in educational settings. He makes three main points during his presentation: 1. Education is failing to prepare people for the complex systems of today's world 2. Games are really good at teaching players to confidently manipulate complex systems 3. Well designed games can solve some of the problems with education This panel was originally supposed to be Game Developers are Defining the Next 50 Years of Education by Michael Todd but the presenter had to be changed due to scheduling issues. This video was recorded with permission during PAX East, Friday, March 22, 2013 at 11:30 am in the Merman Room of the BCEC.
