Besieged by climate change, the beautiful coral atolls of the Maldives may soon disappear forever. Scientists predict that by 2050, most will be submerged in rising sea levels. With drones, mapping the topography of the island allows local communities and agencies like the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), to gather evidence-based spatial data to better inform policy makers influencing climate change issues.
