Willow Ptarmigan, the Alaska State Bird, in Denali National Park

submitted by hankjrt on 01/27/17 1

This family of willow ptarmigan was filmed and photographed in the thickets at Denali National Park in Alaska, July, 1st. 2009. All the video, still images and music were created by myself. I would like to thank the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, particularly Robert B. Weeden for the information about Willow Ptarmigan used for the narrative. The cameras used are a Panasonic PV-GS250 video camera and a Panasonic DMC-FZ20 digital still camera. Also an M-audio Firewire Solo recording interface and a Shure BG 2.1 microphone was used to add the narrative to the video after it was filmed. In the slide show that follows the film the music is from my original song, Rain Dance which I perform with a Native American Drone flute in the key of 'A'. Ulead Videostudio 9.0 was used as video editing software. The video, still images and music are copyrighted, 8/2/2009, and can not be used for commercial purposes without permission. Hope you enjoy these wonderful birds! Mike Gladu
