In August I began a Nonfiction Production class at the intermediate level. Our first assignment was to pitch an idea to make a documentary about and I pitched this idea of Gentrification in Brooklyn. The idea was one of 5 to get chosen. Our task was to tell a good story. I grew up in Brooklyn my whole life in a neighborhood that I watched get gentrified. Over and over again I heard stories of people having to leave their homes because of this issue. This documentary is a short insight into the lives of two individuals who have experienced being forced out of their homes. With the help of two talented classmates, we went on this journey in search for answers.
