Episode 5 of The Beardnecessities gives a tutorial on how to apply liquid Minoxidil to the beard area. 1ml per application is the reccomended dose. Using more won't increase the efficacy it will however increase the side effects. Keep away from sunlight whilst minox is wet and wait 4 hours before washing off.
