Rialto sinopia is a coating for interiors made up of seasoned slaked lime, high quality aggregates such as white Carrara marble, colored earths and natural oxides. Sinopia will give your walls delicate and soft tones, that are pleasing to the senses. Its velvety aspect will sweep you in a unique and multisensorial experience. The color won't speak only to your eyes, but it will envelop you, stimulating and exciting your senses. Its natural composition of seasoned magnesian slaked lime, makes it pasty and fluid facilitating the application of it. The typical slow setting time of the of the air-hardening lime, allows a wide period of workability of the product. Using the stainless-steel trowel, we apply, on a mineral support, the first coat of Rialto sinopia about 1-1,5 millimeters thick . At this stage, it is not necessary to press strongly or to smooth out the product. Small imperfections and defects in the layout can be easily fixed in the following phase. Before the surface is completely dry, we work with a sponge trowel to level it. Drying time varies depending on the humidity, ambient temperature and absorption of the surface (around 10-15 minutes). After a 24-hour interval, we apply a second coat by stainless-steel trowel with the same technique. With the product still tender we are going to polish the surface making it smooth and uniform. This important phase, known as “lamato effect”, compacts the plaster while also emphasizing the tone of the colors. We let it dry for at least 24 hours before applying the final treatment. We are now ready to create that effect that distinguishes this particular finish. Sand down lightly with 220 grit sandpaper to remove any roughness. Spray preferably from the bottom up Rialto fix 210 suitably diluted with water. We use a dry sponge to uniformly distribute the product avoiding any dripping. Fix 210 is a superficial water-repellent treatment, that once dry, will protect the wall and give it a particular velvety look that is pleasant to touch.
