Rialto epoca ottocento is a traditional interior and exterior paint made up of seasoned slaked lime, high quality aggregates such as white Carrara marble, colored earths and natural oxides. This kind of lime is obtained by cooking river pebbles in a furnace, it allows you to produce a paint that is able to tint your walls with pleasant pastel colors. Color tones such as shaded "water-color" effects, that are never flat, can be achieved with a simple and essential technique. Its content of real magnesian slaked lime gives it a firm appearance in the can. A brief initial mixing is enough to obtain a smooth and homogeneous structure. After this first mixing, we can proceed to the dilution for the application by brush diluting the product to not more than 25% of water. Also after the dilution the material must have a reasonable creaminess and structure. Using a traditional paintbrush, we apply the first coat of Rialto epoca ottocento on a surface of mineral nature that has been properly treated. Using a flat brush we apply the product using the classic criss-cross technique on the whole surface without interruptions. Small imperfections in the color are normal at this stage. After about 24 hours we apply the second and last coat. We proceed with the same technique to obtain a uniform distribution of the color . It's better to avoid long vertical and horizontal brushstrokes to prevent imperfections. Once totally dry, we can admire the beauty of the finished effect. The marble grains will create very evocative plays of light and shadows which give character to your wall. Its natural composition will make the surface antistatic and highly breathable as only a real lime product can do.
