A tutorial on Basic MIDI Editing in Pro Tools 12: Changing VELOCITIES of MIDI notes in bulk. Things you'll learn in this tutorial: 1 - 2 ways to access the velocity adjustment in the Edit window 2 - Changing Velocities of MIDI notes in bulk using the pen tool 3 - Increasing and decreasing Velocities of entire MIDI performances by line or freehand 4 - Changing velocities of multiple, non-adjacent selected notes simultaneously 5 - How to adjust note pitch and velocity MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) is how we get our instrument to talk to a computer and make sounds, hopefully, musical ones. I've been using MIDI for many years and it's caused a lot of pain and also got me out of trouble Millions of times. It's brilliant. But It's taken me ages to learn a lot about it and how to manipulate MIDI performances to create very accurate performances while at the same time maintaining a high level of humanity in the performance. In this tutorial, I'll take you through the process I use to bulk adjust my midi notes. If the whole performance or even just a section of the performance needs a bit of a change then this is by far the quickest way to go about it. Please leave a comment if you have any experiences or additional information you can add. We're all eager to learn new stuff so go wild. Steve. In this tutorial I use: - Pro Tools 12 HD - Quantum Leap Piano's www.soundsonline.com/Pianos
