Adalat (1976): An honest and noble farmer Dharam Chand (Amitabh Bachchan) rescues Ajit, Suresh, and Sujit from a Tiger. Indebted by his gesture, the trio offer him a job in Mumbai, which Dharam accepts later on. Dharam performs his job well and succeeds as well until the local Police jail him for 2 years. This period of incarceration proves costly for Dharam as his family is rendered destitute in that time. Dharam avenges his hardships by killing the trio he once rescued, and by becoming a kingpin of the crime world. Years later, Dharam's foreign educated son Raju (Also Amitabh), falls in love with Geeta (Neetu Singh) and wants to marry her against his father's wish.
