Discussion with Black Matters exhibit artists. "Curated by Melonie Green, Black Matters is a multimedia exhibition from AfroSolo that welcomes Black people, other people of color, and white people to look at Black matters by Black artists from the Black perspective. Featured artists include: Bushmama Africa, Lorraine Bonner, Ajuan Mance, Idris Hassan, Michael Covington, Arrington West, Joonbug, Janet Sheard, Kristine Mays, Ain Bailey, Thomas Simpson, Lance Burton, Audacious I AM, Becky Sue, and Candi Farlice. Since 1994, the AfroSolo Arts Festival has provided a forum for Black people to give an authentic voice to the Black experience. The mission of AfroSolo is to nurture, promote, and present Black art and culture through solo performances and the visual and literary arts. Their aim is to bring people of all ethnicities together to explore and share the bonds that unite everyone. This will be their 15th annual visual arts exhibition in collaboration with the African American Center at the San Francisco Public Library."
