For decades we've been having the same chicken-egg discussions about the music industry being a "boys club", and in 2015 there were huge, worldwide discussions about the conditions women face as they pursue their love of music--from the consumer level, to the club scene on up to the marquee heights of Bjork. Awareness of the issue is a start. In this talk, Hopper will offer simple, practical and equitable ways for anyone working in the music industry to be part of the solution, and how moving beyond the "boys club" can benefit their business.
