Middle section (drinking) shown 8x speed. Polyphemus caterpillars (Antheraea polyphemus) drink more than any caterpillar we have ever reared. Larger caterpillars drink more and mass can increase dramatically after drinking, sometimes up to 0.8 grams. Data on our site.
