Motorcycle enthusiasts have travelled afar to reach the Lanark Show and the bright biking weather enhanced the turnout of bikes, which exceeded a thousand by midday... By midday Lanark was abuzz with visitors and a tour in the bike park revealed over 1,000 bikes had turned up for our first venture North of the border. Traders were reporting good business and it was all hands to the pumps to deal with the stream of new arrivals. Staff on the Classic Bikers Club stand were kept busy as the visitors inspected the Honda GB500TT and Can-Am competition prizes, many entering on the day. Bikes in the car park ranged from a diesel MZ, classic British ironware to customised Harleys, Gold Wings, Hayabusas and Hinkley Triumphs, so the Show has a universal appeal to enthusiasts. It was perfect biking weather and clearly evident that some visitors and bike clubs had travelled a long distance to attend. For more information: www.classicbikeshows.com/
