Rocky Mountain National Park

submitted by Shirley_Burt on 10/20/16 1

Rocky Mountain National Park near Estes Park Colorado was set aside in part for its high mountain peaks where Alpine tundra dominates the landscape. Fully one-third of the park is above the tree line. This is a harsh yet fragile environment where the growing season is short—and only the hardiest plants survive. This video is an excerpt from Finley-Holiday Films' new "America's National Parks" Blu-ray and DVD. Available on location at national parks throughout the USA and from www.finleyholiday.com.
