Message by: Alan Mansager This day is like the pistol fired at the starting line to begin the race. The shot has been sounded and we are on our way to the Feasts of the seven month. There is excitement in the air. Can you feel it? Its been months since the Feast of Weeks. The long dry spell is ending. We humans are peculiar in the sense that we tend to drift away from those relationships that we don’t maintain and keep fresh and alive. Think about the childhood friends you lost closeness with because of years of separation. . Yahweh knew this problem in us, and in His wisdom He requires regular, close communion with Him each weekly Sabbath, and also annually, at the Feasts. The test for spiritual health is regular worship. I got a letter from a man this week and he said it was so lonely out where he was with no fellowship. I told him “Come to the Feasts!” Beyond obeying the clear command, another reason we keep the Feasts is to keep our spiritual life with Yahweh vibrant and healthy. We NEED periodic, close reunions with Yahweh and His people to be strong in our walk. We need to see His face regularly. As we enter the season of the fall Feasts, we need to understand that Yahweh uses His Special times to draw us together and closer to Him. The trumpet blast is a call to gather. And there is no such calling together quite like what we see manifest in the Feast of Trumpets. Its very name denotes a calling.
