Many baseball fields in low-income areas look similar to the one in this video. For this reason, low income student athletes living in these communities play baseball on run-down fields that are in desperate need of renovation. The First Base Foundation is dedicated to recruiting student athletes from low-income communities and giving them the opportunity to play in safe environments where they will be seen by college coaches.
