Twitter Bootstrap - Typeahead Plugin with a remote MySQL Data Source

submitted by uklmhb on 09/29/16 1

We are going to use the Typeahead plugin provided by Twitter Bootstrap and change it so we can use a remote mysql data source. This will be done by creating a HTML page with the Bootstrap CSS and JavaScript files included. Setting up the Typeahead plugin with a text input for the searches to be typed into. Ajax will be used to send these requests every time a keyup action happens, to the php file. The php will search the database and return an array of the results, these results will be echo'd out in JSON format back to the plugin. Typeahead Source URL: gist.github.com/1891669 If anyone wishes to have the code and the database structure and contents that I have used in the tutorial, please let me know via PM and I will be happy to provide you with all the source. Thanks for watching, feel free to ask for any tutorials you wish to see, please comment, rate and subscribe.
