Matt's double header........ha ha. Hope you like Sea Caves, because this is it!!! Last trip of the outing, and it was superb. Headed east from Porthgain, back towards Abercastle, almost to the extremity of the last trip - Ynys Deullyn. The wind was still there, not as cold, and not as bad though, and later it died off completely. Porthgain is a lovely, historic little harbour, that wouldn't be out of place on the North Cornish coast, and as I've previously stated, the similarities are remarkable. The main similarity being - They are both superb Sea Kayaking venues. This trip is absolutely wonderful, if like us you love the caves, and tunnels, and cut throughs, the level of interest never lets up, in fact, just like the last trip, we didn't actually travel very far, but had enough interesting features for a trip 4 times as long. I have done this trip before, from Abercastle, and the same trip as this. Last time, I missed quite a few of the caves, and tunnels, as there is just so much to see. If you go the other way from Porthgain (West) you reach Abereiddy, and that is also a great trip, in fact, you would be hard pressed to do a boring trip down here, given good weather.
