To support our 2015 Great British Walk Campaign, we took a look at how walking on the coast really impacts our physical and mental wellbeing. With 775 miles of UK coastline cared for by the Trust, and a whole range of walks to choose from, we want to encourage walkers to embrace the benefits of a walk along the headland, a ramble through the sand dunes or a gentle wander on one of the UK’s beautiful beaches. Revealing that coast walkers sleep an average of 47 minutes longer after a walk by the sea, partnered with boosted feelings of calm, happiness, a sense of escape and increased positivity, join in our Great British Walk 2015 by donning your boots and taking to the shores!
