Since 1893 Hurtigruten has explored the Norwegian coast and the polar waters of remote shores. We are still exploring and introducing new fjords and excursions along the long and rugged Norwegians coast, where 22 of the 34 ports that we call at on a daily basis are north of the Arctic Circle! Our Explorer ship MS Fram continues the Norwegian tradition of exploring the white areas of our planet, sailing the waters of Antarctica, Greenland, Iceland, Spitsbergen and Norway. MS Fram is small enough to reach the interesting sites, yet big enough for comfort even in rough weather. Being on an Explorer voyage means travelling in remote regions where weather and ice guides the route. Voyages run to flexible schedules and we make the best of our conditions at hand – and of course, safety always comes first.
