"Boudicca", "Balmoral" & "Marco Polo" depart from Southampton Docks - 05/01/2016. My first outing of 2016 took me to Southampton Docks to watch the departure of three cruise ships. Originally there was only meant to be two but the third was a last-minute change of port due to its original destination being inaccessible due to bad weather. The three ships that were in departed in the following order... - "Boudicca" (Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines) from the Berth 101/'City' Cruise Terminal at 16:51 on a 76-night cruise around Africa. "Boudicca" is the first of the Fred. Olsen fleet to be painted in the new company livery which consists of a red strip and a dark grey hull. - "Balmoral" (Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines) from Berth 106/'Mayflower' Cruise Terminal at 16:55 on a 14-night cruise to the Canary Islands. Like "Boudicca", "Balmoral" is also now carrying the new Fred. Olsen livery, but it still isn't quite finished yet. - "Marco Polo" (Cruise & Maritime Voyages) from Berth 46/'Ocean' Cruise Terminal at 20:44 on a 54-night cruise around South America. She had originally been meant to start her voyage from Bristol Avonmouth but was diverted due to poor weather in the Bristol Channel. Viewed from Town Quay ("Boudicca" & "Balmoral") and Hythe Marina Village ("Marco Polo").
