We’ve rounded up 10 of the craziest Pokémon Go fails in our video. Since its release in July 2016, Pokémon Go has seen keen players scouring the real world to find the digital creatures. The geolocation feature of the game has caused some problems though. Like the guy whose girlfriend caught him cheating after finding evidence on his phone that he’d caught a Pokémon at his ex’s house. Epic fail. Or the victims who walked straight into an armed robbery after the criminals used the feature to find lone players in secluded spots. Then there are those Pokémon Go players in bad situations because they’re too engrossed in the game to watch where they’re going. Like the man who went for a midnight stroll in a park and strolled straight into a pond. Luckily for us, he was live streaming, so the rest of the world could join in and laugh at his idiocy. Or the guys who were so wrapped up in their phones that they walked straight off a cliff. It’s amazing they survived to tell the tale. And what about the man who was so into the game he continued to play it while his wife prepared to give birth. Some players end up in really sticky situations because of where the game leads them. Like onto private property. The kind of private property that is own by someone with a gun and who isn’t afraid to shoot at trespassers. Yikes. Or like the player who headed to the local river to catch a water Pokémon and instead discovered a dead body. Or the guy who claimed he witnessed a murder while live streaming. Pokémon Go accidents also happen on a more light-hearted level too though, like the news anchor who got caught on camera walking right in front of a weather report in search of the pocket monsters. And let’s not forget the pain of those who live in a country where Pokémon Go isn’t available yet.
