Dr. Trenberth provides a brief outline of the facts: how the global climate is changing with a focus of temperatures and more detail on the recent hiatus in the rise in global mean temperatures. He explores the seasonality of the changes, and possible explanations of whether global warming has gone away or not. Changes in the oceans prove to be a key but are not as well-known as we would like because there is not yet enough good data. Dr. Trenberth contends that what we do about this is up to all of us and denial of climate change facts by some politicians ought to be called out.
