Welcome to the 4th video of our inaugural Climate Mobilization-San Francisco Bay Area (TCM-SFBA) event, held in Oakland on June 26th. In case you missed them, here is a quick run down on our first 3 videos. The 1st video with TCM's Dr Janice Kirsch's introductory remarks on the "Climate Emergency", together with an exciting performance of "It's A Crime to Tell the Truth" by renowned activist, singer and poet Tom Neilson TomNeilsonMusic.com , can be found here. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yxx8E... . Our 2nd video featuring Reverend Ken Chambers, who was instrumental in the success of the local "No Coal In Oakland" movement, is available here. www.youtube.com/watch?v=6r8-r... The 3rd video featuring Andres Soto, a living example of the determined leadership that galvanizes local mobilization for community well-being, can be seen here. www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTwI_... This video features Michael Eisenscher, National Coordinator Emeritus for US Labor Against War USlaborAgainstWar.org . He gives a sobering assessment on how the military gravely worsens climate change and also fuels climate disruption's tendency to cause war. The production, installation and maintenance of renewable technology can lead to full and fair employment as we transition from a war economy to one of true security. We are also treated to Tom Neilson performing a set of songs that focuses primarily on the futility and absurdity of war. Climate disruption threatens the lives of all of us now.
