Off grid living A Tiny Houses update

submitted by ilovetinyhouses on 01/30/14 1

Our off grid living adventure is off to a slow start but this tiny house update will hopefully get us moving in the right direction. Going off grid should be much easy. We finally got the tiny house moved to our property and placed in it's final location. It's not really a tiny house cause those are standard 8 feet wide. Our tiny house is really a cabin on wheels and since it's 12 feet wide it requires a permit to transport it down the road. It's registered as an RV so permitting isn't required. First things we have to do is get the off grid cabin up on blocks and leveled, install a front door, run the electrical wiring and replace some missing insulation. After that we can start putting in the walls, kitchen, bath and the loft. We will eventually run all electric on solar, cook and heat water on propane. Any ideas, comments our suggestions are appreciated. Thanks for watching.
