The Cancer Drugs Fund which, enabled patients to access drugs that would not otherwise have been available from the NHS, ended on the 31st March after five years. Ben Ashworth, is living with terminal bowel cancer after his diagnosis four years ago. Ben was told he had six-twelve months to live, but has defied odds with the help of an expensive drug through the 'Cancer Drugs Fund'. During his treatment, refusing to be slowed down, he's also run 21 marathons!
