Fire crews tackle huge plastics blaze in Bamber Bridge - Lancashire Headline News

60 Firefighters were called to tackle a large fire that broke out at a plastics manufacturer in Bamber Bridge. Services were called to Total Polyfilm Ltd on the Walton Summit Industrial Estate shortly before 3 Wednesday morning after a unit containing large quantities of fuel caught fire. Residents in the area were urged to keep their windows and doors closed as a large cloud of thick black smoke hung over the site. The factory’s night shift of around 30 workers was evacuated when the blaze was first spotted in the maintenance department.
