A Lancashire author's recent debut novel has been named 'Book of the Year' at the annual British Book Industry Awards. ANDREW MICHAEL HURLEY'S 'The Loney,' beat off competition from HARPER LEE’S 'Go Set A Watchman' and PAULA HAWKINS' 'The Girl on the Train.' Dubbed 'a gothic masterpiece' by The Guardian, it was originally published in a limited run of 300 copies, before winning the Costa first novel award back in January, and now has a film deal with DNA Films and Film 4.
