Calls have been made for a lift to be installed at Chorley railway station, after it was not included in a planned upcoming scheme. Both platforms at the station will be remodelled as part of work to electrify the railway. But, it means the line between Preston and Bolton will be closed every weekend from Saturday, June 18th to Sunday, October 2nd, while the upgrade takes place.
