Tributes have been paid around the world to Labour MP Jo Cox, who died after being shot and stabbed. The mother or two was attacked before holding a constituency surgery in Birstall in West Yorkshire on Thursday. Mrs Cox's husband said the mother of two had fought for "a better world". The EU referendum campaign has been put on hold in the meantime, to show appreciation to the dedicated MP. Flags across the UK flew at half mass, including the Town Hall flag in Preston.
