Speaking at the Skoll World Forum 2016 Opening Plenary, former U.S. Vice President Al Gore spoke on the principal source of global warming and what we can do about it. "Ocean based storms are a lot stronger and we have much larger downpours than in the past," he said at the social entrepreneurship conference in Oxford, England. “Every night the TV news is like a nature hike through the book of Revelation.” He asked the audience three questions: "1. Do we really have to change? We still rely on fossil fuels. 2. Can we change? 3. Will we change?" His talk received a standing ovation. The Skoll World Forum on Social Entrepreneurship is the premier international platform for advancing entrepreneurial approaches and solutions to the world's most pressing problems. Our mission is to accelerate the impact of the world's leading social entrepreneurs by uniting them with essential partners in a collaborative pursuit of learning, leverage and large-scale social change. Each year, nearly 1,000 of the world’s most influential social entrepreneurs, key thought leaders and strategic partners gather at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School to exchange ideas, solutions and information. skoll.org/skoll-world-forum/
