Throwback: Dave Chappelle Raps About AIDS Awareness In Late 80's

submitted by BornWinnerNetwork on 06/18/16 1

www.vladtv.com - We all know Dave Chappelle as the funny man responsible for our gut-busting laughter for years, but back in the 80's, ol' Dave was a rapping, HIV/AIDS awareness spreading teen. Yes, you read that right. In the video above, the legendary comedian does a short skit where he leans towards the idea of sleeping with a possible AIDS-infected woman. He then teams up with his crew to spit some knowledge about the deadly disease. The ad was created as a way to promote the AIDS Memorial quilt in Washington D.C., a group effort in honor of the victims who succumbed to AIDS. As of today it weighs 54 tons and is comprised of 48,000 individual quilts. Catch the throwback clip above.
